Cheer Squad

Cheerleading was officially recognized in the 1970’s, but has been a part of the Pop Warner program for several decades. Today, more than 180,000 children are participating in Pop Warner cheerleading and dance around the world.

Participation in the Pop Warner Spirit Program provides kids an opportunity to perform in an organized, supervised, safety-oriented environment. Pop Warner programs emphasize fun for all and encourage the development of qualities important long after Pop Warner days are gone.

The participants in the Pop Warner program are unique. While they are taught about the values of competition, they are also maintaining their grades at a satisfactory level in order to attain the ultimate prize of being named a Pop Warner National Champion. We salute all the efforts and accomplishments that our participants put forward!

Lake Brantley Pop Warner Cheer

Lake Brantley Pop Warner offers a great cheer experience for girls who want to cheer for a team and also participate in exhibitions or competitions.

The participants in the Pop Warner program are unique. While we teach our cheerleader athletes about the values of competition and sportsmanship, they are also maintaining their grades at a satisfactory level and they are asked to give back to the community in order to attain the ultimate prize of being awarded a Pop Warner National Champion and scholastic scholarships. We salute all the efforts and accomplishments that our participants put forward!

Tiny and Mitey Mites  teams are generally open to girls ages 5-9. Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee, Junior Varsity, and Varsity is offered to girls 8-15. Girls will be placed on a team in the appropriate division based on age (as of July 31), experience and the number of girls registering.

Our cheerleaders compete at district level for the opportunity to advance to regional and national competition. Mid Florida Cheer Competition occurs in October, Southeast Region Cheer Competition takes place over Thanksgiving Weekend (mandatory!), and National Pop Warner Cheer Competition is scheduled in early December.

The cheerleading squads are assigned to football teams and accompany them to all their home and away games—including post-season play at invitational bowls and regional/national competitions. The cheerleaders cheer during the games and also perform at halftime, which is an amazing opportunity for the cheerleaders to showcase their skills and routines!
